"As consumer needs become more diverse and individualised,” said Paul Willems, Product Management & Business Development Director at Roland DG EMEA, “it is essential to provide one-of-a-kind products and services. Print businesses need the flexibility to respond to the trend toward small-lot, high-mix manufacturing, and to add value to consumer products, letting these businesses stand out from competitors and achieve sustainable growth. Our new brand, VersaOBJECT, gives our customers the power to strengthen and diversify, and to thrive in an ever-evolving commercial landscape.”

The new CO inkjet series is equipped with UV inks that cure by ultraviolet irradiation and can print directly on various materials such as plastic, leather, wood, and cloth. The precision ink firing, and powerful LED lamps make curing the ink fast. This combination delivers stunning images and high colour saturation as well as precisely reproducing the finest details, from small text to elaborately textured patterns and gradations. CO series printers give excellent colour reproduction, with Orange and Red inks as well as CMYK, and special Gloss, White, and Primer inks enhance user capabilities.

The CO series can accommodate objects up to 200 mm in height and 100 kg/m2 in weight making it ideal for the personalization of a variety of consumer products as well as customization of industrial products and parts. The enhanced ‘Distance Mode’ offers the ability to print on items with gently curved or uneven surfaces, giving operators even more capabilities to satisfy customer briefs.

"VersaOBJECT's direct printing solutions revolutionise the conventional decorating process, bringing numerous benefits and competitive advantages to customers' businesses, including shorter delivery times, reduced costs, flexibility, and reduced environmental impact while enabling the development of new business opportunities. We will continue to expand our product line-up and the possibilities of on-demand decoration with VersaOBJECT to enhance people's creativity and grow their businesses,” Willems continues.

The VersaOBJECT line-up also includes two large format UV flatbed printers - the recently launched EU-1000MF, and the IU-1000F, plus the UV LEF2 Series and eco-solvent SF-200 desktop flatbed printers.
