Q - Can I update my software from Ergosoft Roland Edition 1 or 2 to Ergosoft Roland DG Edition 3? 
A - Yes, you can. Click here to update. It’s free until the end of January 2021.   


Q - Can I update the Ergosoft Roland DG Edition 3 for free?
A- Yes, you can. All the updates to the Edition 3 are always available free of charge.


Q - I already have the Ergosoft Roland Edition 2 Special Plus dongle. Can I add the XT-640S-DTG or the IU-1000F?
A - Yes. First, update to Ergosoft Roland DG Edition 3 version. Then, buy the related Roland ZT-1900 level 4 driver or IU-1000F driver.

Q - I'm buying a Roland Texart (RT-640, RT-640M, XT-640). Is the Edition 3 already included?
A - Yes, Ergosoft Roland DG Edition 3 is included with these machines.


Q - I'm buying a Texart ZT-1900, XT-640S-DTG, XT-640S-F or IU-1000F. Should I purchase my Ergosoft Roland DG Edition 3 SPECIAL PLUS separately? 
A - Yes, for ZT-1900, XT-640S-DTG, XT-640S-F or IU-1000F, it's available separately. 


Q - I also have a cutting plotter. Is it supported by Ergosoft Roland DG Edition 3?
A - Yes, each Ergosoft Roland DG Edition 3, PLUS and SPECIAL PLUS supports several cutting plotters. To see the list of supported cutter devices, click here.


Q - Can I buy additional drivers for my Ergosoft Roland DG Edition 3?
A - Yes. Level 1,2,3, or 4 printing devices drivers can be bought separately as well as Cutter devices, both roll-to-roll and flatbed.

Q : Can I go back to my older version after installing the ErgoSoft Roland DG Edition 3 update?
A : Yes, you always can launch your previous version.


Q : Can I import my previous settings (e.g. position templates, colour tables, output colour profiles) into the ErgoSoft Roland DG Edition 3 update?
A: Yes – Follow these steps:

  1. In Edition 2, export your desired print and cut environments.
  2. Install the current release of Edition 3 on your system.
  3. To use your Edition 2 position templates in Edition 3, copy the Template folder (located by default in C:\Users\Public\Documents\EsRip\XX) into the new User Data folder of Edition 3.
  4. To use your Edition 2 colour tables in Edition 3, copy the SwatchServ folder into the new User Data folder of Edition 3.
  5. To use your Edition 2 input profiles in Edition 3, copy the Color folder into the new User Data folder of Edition 3.
  6. Start ErgoSoft Roland DG Edition 3 and import the print environments previously exported from Edition 2.
  7. Start ErgoSoft Roland DG Edition 2
  8. Start the Preset Editor (Menu -> Tools -> Edit Presets) in both applications.
  9. Adjust each preset from Edition 2 to Edition 3.
