Roland DG announces the prize winner of its Scratch & Win prize draw

Roland DG has announced the winner of its popular ‘Scratch & Win’ prize draw, which gave visitors at Sign & Digital UK 2016 the opportunity to add the latest piece of industry technology to their business.

Attendees to this year’s premier sign making and digital printing event were able to visit Roland DG’s stand to collect a ‘Scratch & Win’ scratch card, with a variety of prizes on offer from mugs to caps - and those lucky enough to draw a grand prize winning card earnt the chance to win a part of Roland DG’s latest generation of print technology.

Axiya Signs was the lucky company that won a choice of one of Roland DG’s newly launched TrueVIS VG Series print and cut devices or a SOLJET EJ-640 printer to boost the business’ offering; and opted for the TrueVIS VG-540 as the natural choice for their business needs.

The integrated machine is the perfect addition for the Berkshire based business, which boasts over 35 years’ experience in the signage industry.

Speaking about his win, Lloyd Yates, Director at Axiya Signs, said: “I was in complete shock when I found out that I had won! The addition of the TrueVIS VG-540 to our business will allow us to bring more production in-house and help to cut our overhead costs dramatically. I just want to say thank you once again for this, it’s amazing that we have won and our VG-540 is going to be so well used and looked after.”

The TrueVIS VG series, which is available in two sizes (64-inch and 54-inch), boasts numerous new features to ensure a high quality output and maximum productivity levels with every print run.

The VG comes equipped with four newly developed FlexFire print heads to provide more flexible control of the metallic plate attached to the ink chamber and a higher firing frequency. The advanced print heads fire droplet patterns at 900 dpi and in three sizes, with an approx. 25% wider print pass compared to previous Roland DG models. Each droplet of ink falls with ultimate precision and uniformity, providing highly detailed outputs at a quick speed to maximise productivity levels for the sign and graphics business.

As well as new print heads, the developed contour cutter in the VG Series has been restored with a new cutting carriage, blade and blade holder which allows for increased down force and media compatibility. The precision cutting mechanism of the VG-640/540 is adopted from Roland DG’s latest cutting advancements, resulting in reliable cutting of even the most complex designs.

A variety of other prizes on offer with Roland DG’s ‘Scratch & Win’ prize draw; including a set of ECO-SOL MAX 3 inks and a place on a Roland DG Academy course, were won by happy attendees of the show, which was attended by over 6,600 sign & graphics professionals out over the three days.
