Kridia ArtPrinting Solutions brings premium textured wallcoverings

Introducing a new technology to Albania

Kridia was introduced to the DIMENSE and complimentary workflow software Roland DG Connect through Graphcom Albania, Roland DG’s partner in the region. This investment was more than a routine equipment purchase, as Kridia was the first to bring this technology into the Albanian market positioning itself uniquely by combining the Dimense DA-640 printer with the DIMENSE model.

Already familiar with Roland DG technology from previous printer investments, Julinda Kolleshi at Kridia Artprinting felt confident taking the next step, “We had used Roland machines before and were very pleased with our experience. That’s why we decided to invest in a new DIMENSE device and bring a new technology in Albanian market.”

That proven trust in previous performance made their decision to expand into textured wallcoverings a natural progression.

Today, Kridia uses the DIMENSE printer for 3D embossed wallpaper and canvas printing.

For Julinda, ease of operation has also been a major advantage. 

Alongside the hardware, Kridia uses Roland DG Connect Designer DIMENSE Module to manage its print environment.

The platform provides centralised oversight of their Roland DG ecosystem more efficiently by providing centralised information, notifications, and operational insights, which support smoother daily workflows and reduce downtime.

“The software has been a useful tool for monitoring printer status, maintenance needs, and overall device performance”, said Mira.

For every project, artwork is prepared and enhanced to suit final installation dimensions before it is uploaded into the DG Connect Designer module where teams can identify where texture and embossing will be applied. The software has become an important creative tool for Kridia, allowing them to create textured elements much faster than traditional design applications.

“Designer makes it much easier to create and manage the structure editing within an image” explains Mira. “It allows us to select and generate structures based on image tones and contrast levels more efficiently than traditional design software.”

For a growing print business, having greater visibility into device status and maintenance planning creates more confident day-to-day operations. Where structure editing once meant manual selection and limited control, the DIMENSE Module has replaced that with automated structure generation, faster iteration, and closer consistency between concept and final print.

In our other design tools, I have to select every detail manually, which takes more time and the strokes are not as smooth. DIMENSE Module is faster and easier for structure editing.

Turning custom designs into competitive advantage

For Kridia, the value of the Designer module is evident on time-sensitive projects. Recently, the team was asked to create a series of embossed Ancient Coin graphics that required intricate texture mapping and a fast turnaround time.

"We had to complete the client's request as soon as possible, and Designer was very time-efficient for editing the structural elements," said Julinda.

Today, the Module is used in nearly all of Kridia's projects, particularly for structure editing - making it a core part of daily production.

The ability to quickly translate artwork into textured applications helped Kridia fill a unique space within the Albanian market. Kridia remains the only company in Albania capable of producing fully customised embossed wallpaper based on a customer's image or design.
