Laser Tattoo is a bold company that likes to experiment. Based in Stuttgart, with an online shop that ships across Germany and Austria, the business specialises in personalised products and promotional materials.
Alongside a thriving laser engraving service which gives the company its name, Laser Tattoo also offers direct UV printing thanks to its two Roland VersaUV LEF benchtop UV printers.
"With our LEF printers, we can print on an endless array of materials and objects," comments Business Manager Stefan Serrer. "Personalisation of Apple products and golf balls are very popular requests, but we also print on tablet and smartphone covers, mouse mats, photo cubes, clothes pegs... Actually, practically anything is possible."

The white and gloss options available on the VersaUV LEF printers are a favourite feature of Stefan's, as they are used 'to apply special accents' to products. Printing a base coat of white ink before CMYK can really make an image pop on a wide range of materials and objects up to 100mm tall, while gloss varnish can be printed in layers to create realistic textures. The LEF offers enormous scope to creative businesses.
Laser Tattoo is certainly creative; as well as its web shop, packed with customisable products aimed at seasonal events like Mother's Day, back to school, Valentine's Day and even barbecue season, the company is happy to collaborate with its clients.
"Often, we discover new possibilities together with our customers," says Stefan. "The slate tiles that we made for Havana Club are a good example of that. We ran a lot of tests and finally arrived at a razor-sharp print in CMYK and white on the anthracite-coloured tiles – a beautiful product which now adorns many an eating establishment."
